Following an expansion process aimed at integrating new expertise, the ProFI national proteomics infrastructure will incorporate the PAPPSO platform on January 1, 2026.
ProFI(or ProFI Proteomics), one of 27 national health biology infrastructures (INBS) listed on the roadmap of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Space, is dedicated to developing innovative tools and methods for increasingly detailed and comprehensive characterization of proteins in biological systems. ProFI also has a dual mission for the scientific community: 1) To offer high-quality proteomic analysis services to the academic and private sectors; 2) To train and share the expertise and IT tools it develops. ProFI now comprises eight IBiSA-certified member platforms offering cutting-edge services and developments in proteomics.
PAPPSO enriches ProFI with its long-standing expertise in plant, microbial, and animal proteomics, human metaproteomics, and peptidomics. It also strengthens ProFI’s capabilities in terms of bioinformatics development. This integration marks a real recognition for PAPPSO. It also represents new opportunities for collaboration on innovative developments in proteomics and paves the way for calls for tenders reserved for national infrastructures.
